In praise of Google!!!!

Microsoft owns the desktop....But Google controls the user experience!!!
Software should hide its complexity and be Simple to consume.
Simplicity....

How so...? How does Google control the user experience. Its just another search engine...albeit pretty popular. These two operate in completely different spheres.

Well if you track the path that Google is presently on,they are doing things pretty smart. MS hit it big with windows n their desktops no doubt abt that, eventually all the companies operating in the space is looking to hook the users to their s/w be it office appls, mails, internet search, blogs, videos, scratch pads, widgets n so on.Now in this scenario what google's achieved is they have changed the way the s/w in this space is consumed. MS too tries to get a good mkt share in this - when was the last time u did MSN search, used ur hotmail id ? everything boils down to a text box be it info or videos, now u take most of the appls u run on ur screen other than ur official appls..which company owns most of what u run? :) the best part is google's just got started - now what do they do - whatever u want/searching for is available at a click. Google's come out with google docs. Now aint it just a lil while before it takes over the time u spend on MS Office appls ?
So, Google's present position is a viewed as a big threat to all the big firms operating in this space. What happens when they decide to Biz s/w ? Thus, the technology is available, the appls are there and google does smart work on these changes the way s/w is consumed and goes on to clinch that 'User Experience'.
